Round 4 PC post with Dazai

Dazai's quarters can be found in the studio building. It's one of the doors off of the main hallway, not far from the stage itself. The door itself is labeled with his name. Most of the time it is unlocked, but he does lock it at night or when he's with someone else.

There is an open parlor area, with a couple couches and a low table. Off to one side of the room is a taller table with some booze bottles on it, all still mostly-full. On another wall is a door, which presumably goes to another part of his quarters, maybe his bedroom? And there is also a table and desk chair to one side, which appears to be a working space. All of the walls are lined with bookshelves, which are full of countless books.

Feel free to knock, or walk right in if the door is open.

[Ingway gives a little huffing laugh through his nose and comes in]

Sadly this is purely business. Tell me, did the Foundation inform you of all our abilities and risks?

As much as they know. SOme of you are still keeping secrets from everyone.

[darkova]

Not at all surprising. But, if that's the case then you must be aware of my... dietary restrictions?

[guileturncoat]

Yes, and provisions have been prepared for you. There should be a small package in the fridge labeled as 'for Ingway', and that will get replaced every time it is consumed.

[darkova]

[Visible relief shows on his face]

Good... good. I... feared the Foundation's intent was to wait until the Darkova's madness took hold and- well, you know how that would end.

[guileturncoat]

That might make for good ratings, but it won't meet the Foundaton's other goal here. So you are safe for now.

[darkova]

For now. I've had my fill of innocent blood- though I must ask, is your ability affective on curses as well?

[guileturncoat]

It should be? It blocks any ability in my world, and most of the things in this world strong enough to make me question if I can block them or not stay far away from me. We can try it, at the very least.

[darkova]

I would appreciate it. Do you need to lay hands to do so?

[guileturncoat]

[He offers out a hand to ingway. ]

Any kind of physical contact is enough.

[darkova]

[He gives Dazai his hand]

I shouldn't need to transform- it affects more than just my body, after all.

[He waits to see if he feels any different. If his mind and cravings clear]

[They all should! One touch shuts down all powers, so Ingway should feel like a normal person with no horrorpowers in his mind.]

How does it feel?

[darkova]

[For the first time in two years, that madness sinks down and away. Ingway was never completely healthy in the mental sense: not since the traumas of his childhood. So those aches remained. But the unnatural insanity of the Darkova blew away.

His eyes faded from red back to their natural violet.]

I...

[Excuse him, said eyes are kinda leaking now]

[One: oh no those purple eyes are pretty.

Two: oh no they're leaking!]

Oi oi, it's alright. Here-

[He's grabbing for a pack of tissues now, one that's in a drawer on his desk.]

[darkova]

[He doesn't let go of Dazai's hand, forcing him to get the tissue with his other hand. Though he does accept them, wiping at his face]

A-ah... excuse me. I don't know what came over me...

[guileturncoat]

You've been through a lot. It's okay, anyone would be emotional like this.

[Dazai seems to be...understanding? And he's not poking at Ingway's vulnerabilities like he tends to do in public.]

[darkova]

'Tis all suffering I put upon myself. Still... this is good. It means if the Darkova breaks free, you will be able to put it down without a battle.

[guileturncoat]

That's the idea. But hopefully it won't break free here. I would hate to see you go through that.

[darkova]

It's nothing I'm not used to. I worry more for the others in the House.

[guileturncoat]

It's okay to worry for yourself too. Just because you bear a curse doesn't mean you're any less deserving of kindness.

[darkova]

[Ingway laughs, though there's no humor in it]

I deserve nothing, and it has nothing to do with my curse, Dazai. It's a Fate I chose for myself- the Foundation is just an extension of my punishment.

Why did you choose that fate?

[darkova]

It was a destiny my mother foretold. She had the Gift, you see. But rather than wait for it I decided to use it to my advantage. The Darkova spell is one of the few things that could give me the power to kill my father. Getting my revenge on that man was all I wanted in life.

... I did not plan on surviving and having to live with the after-effects.

[guileturncoat]

Revenge rarely fits anyone's plans.

...they could remove it at the Foundation, I bet. If you were interested in that.

[darkova]

I am not. To shrug it off so easily would be an insult to those who suffered at my hand.
