Round 4 PC post with Dazai

Dazai's quarters can be found in the studio building. It's one of the doors off of the main hallway, not far from the stage itself. The door itself is labeled with his name. Most of the time it is unlocked, but he does lock it at night or when he's with someone else.

There is an open parlor area, with a couple couches and a low table. Off to one side of the room is a taller table with some booze bottles on it, all still mostly-full. On another wall is a door, which presumably goes to another part of his quarters, maybe his bedroom? And there is also a table and desk chair to one side, which appears to be a working space. All of the walls are lined with bookshelves, which are full of countless books.

Feel free to knock, or walk right in if the door is open.

It's nothing I'm not used to. I worry more for the others in the House.

It's okay to worry for yourself too. Just because you bear a curse doesn't mean you're any less deserving of kindness.

[Ingway laughs, though there's no humor in it]

I deserve nothing, and it has nothing to do with my curse, Dazai. It's a Fate I chose for myself- the Foundation is just an extension of my punishment.

Why did you choose that fate?

[darkova]

It was a destiny my mother foretold. She had the Gift, you see. But rather than wait for it I decided to use it to my advantage. The Darkova spell is one of the few things that could give me the power to kill my father. Getting my revenge on that man was all I wanted in life.

... I did not plan on surviving and having to live with the after-effects.

[guileturncoat]

Revenge rarely fits anyone's plans.

...they could remove it at the Foundation, I bet. If you were interested in that.

[darkova]

I am not. To shrug it off so easily would be an insult to those who suffered at my hand.

[guileturncoat]

What of those who will suffer in the future because of it?

[darkova]

[That makes him pause]

... that's what Containment is for.

[guileturncoat]

Denied!

[He's still going to hold into Ingway's hand, by the way.]

Containment is for dangerous monsters. While you can be dangerous, you're not a monster. And I should know, I've seen a lot of monsters before.

[darkova]

[Another broken laugh]

That is where you are wrong. An entire world is destroyed because of me, you realize.

[guileturncoat]

It's a burden that is understood better than you might think.

[darkova]

... if that's the case, I pity you.

[He takes his hand away gently, eyes returning to red, as if retreating from lucidity]

[guileturncoat]

[The pity isn't comforting, but having found someone who knows that burden is at least slightly reassuring.]
