Round 4 PC post with Dazai

Dazai's quarters can be found in the studio building. It's one of the doors off of the main hallway, not far from the stage itself. The door itself is labeled with his name. Most of the time it is unlocked, but he does lock it at night or when he's with someone else.

There is an open parlor area, with a couple couches and a low table. Off to one side of the room is a taller table with some booze bottles on it, all still mostly-full. On another wall is a door, which presumably goes to another part of his quarters, maybe his bedroom? And there is also a table and desk chair to one side, which appears to be a working space. All of the walls are lined with bookshelves, which are full of countless books.

Feel free to knock, or walk right in if the door is open.

Ah. I apologize. How are they feeling, then? Electrical burns are no joke.

[ "do you want a heal" is on her tongue, but she remembers she can't heal him....it's frustrating. ]

[He really wishes he could get healed, honestly.]

There is another man within the Foundation, one from a world where abilities are so common that everyone has one. He has the ability to nullify other abilities too, but his is done by sight.

I kind of wish he was here right now, I bet he could nullify mine without mine nullifying his, and then someone could heal me.

I'm sorry...I wish I could help, but I don't know much beyond basic first aid, and it seems you have that covered.

Mine is by touch, his is by sight. He could look at me without me touching him.

And it's alright. I've had first aid my whole life, I can heal the slow way.

[ a nod ] There's a staff from my world that expert healers can use...it keeps the target from using any magic or healing for a little while, but that's the closest comparison I can think of. I can't imagine having that effect on oneself permanently.

Still, this isn't a one-time thing. You already had injuries when we met you...just what do you keep doing, Dazai?

[ the question's kind of rhetorical, since she assumes he won't give a straight answer ]

Actually, most of these aren't injuries. I'm just a modest person.

[He holds up his arms and shakes them a bit, indicating to the arm bandages.]

I got hurt on the side of my head recently, but that's it.

Y-You're legitimately wearing bandages for no particular reason?!

[ dazai you stupid fuck she's been worrying for no reason ]

It's not 'no particular reason', it's a fashion statement! I look cool with them on!

Plus I'd rather not scare people off with scars.

No you don't! You look like you were just released from a burn ward!

Can you see out of that eye you're covering, or are you forsaking your double vision for fashion as well?

Lifts up the bandages slightly and shows off his working eye.]

It's easier to bandage my head like that though. I have to put all of these on by myself every day, it's hard to bandage the side of your head solo.

Then stop bandaging your head when you don't need to!

[ She's already said it when she realizes this is the same tone of voice Takumi uses when Hinata does something stupid. He's rubbed off on her but she rarely gets this upset that this actually happens. Is this how Takumi feels all the time, because Hinata only has one working brain cell but he clearly cares enough about him to yell when Hinata gets into trouble? ]

I do need to bandage my head!

[Okay, now he's getting a little irritated.]

Do I need to show you the stitches on my head for you to get the idea?

No. [ fine fine fine ] But based on the way this conversation has played out, is your willing to cover your eye just to capture the "look" of your head being bandaged outside of the realm of possibility?

[ a sigh ]

...okay yeah, you got me there. I could probably find a way to bandage up my head that doesn't cover my eye. But I'm lazy and it looks cool.

[ a knowing look ]

Will you let me fix it? For today, at least.

[ like she said. burn victim. ]

...I guess so.

[Bandage him up, Azura.]

Azura steps up and unwinds the bandages a little, enough to give her room to rework them around his head. From the way she works, it's obvious she has experience dressing head wounds. She manages to tuck the bandages away under his hair so that they're barely visible from the front. ]

...there. You look much better.

[ was that an actual compliment ]

[He does actually have an injury on his head too. It looks like someone tried to stab him in the eye, and he just barely dodged out of the way in time, leaving a long slice across the side of his face. It's stitched up with medical stitches, but they still have a bit more healing to do. Azura will be able to tell that he got the wound about two weeks ago, probably a few days before the start of the game.

Also, with both eyes visible and the bandages mostly-hidden, he actually looks his age. And his face is a lot cuter.]

Aww, does that mean I've wooed you with my charm and good looks?

[That smug wink actually looks like a wink now too.]

[ Oh jeez. Azura frowns as she re-dresses it and opens her mouth to ask him about it, because what did you do, Dazai. Who tried to stab you in the eye??? ]

[ And then she sees what he actually looks like beneath those stupid bandages and it gives her pause, because she's not lying to herself in that she doesn't already think he's cute. And she's largely brushed off his weird flirting before, but when you've just had your hands on someone's face and are standing very close to them and they suddenly bring up wooing you even in jest, like she's certain it is, it can catch you off guard.

Her hands linger maybe 2 seconds too long on his face before she backs up and smiles. ]

Hmm...the latter, yes. But work on your alleged charm if you want to woo me permanently.

So you mean I still have a chance?

[And now he just looks like an excited puppy. Is he flirting or being genuine, who the hell can even tell at this point.]

As long as I'm around this house, I'll be here to fret over you. With fretting comes spending additional time with you by necessity. So take that as you will.

[ fun fact: she briefly had a bit of a thing for a certain Hoshidan pegasus knight back home, but that's the brunt of her romantic experience and nothing ever came out of it because foundation

so she's doing what she assumes is being suave gives him a tiny peck on the cheek

does she think anything is going to come out of this? no, not really, since she's clearly not the only one who thinks he's cute and dazai has....flirted with a lot of people by now, who knows what he's serious about? but just for a second, it's nice to pretend it might. ]

[She is being very suave indeed, because Dazai actually does go a bit pink in the face once he gets that kiss. For a moment there, she gets a genuine look into Dazai, who seems a touch flustered to have genuine affection like that. Way to go, Azura, you counter-wooed him.]
