Round 4 PC post with Dazai

Dazai's quarters can be found in the studio building. It's one of the doors off of the main hallway, not far from the stage itself. The door itself is labeled with his name. Most of the time it is unlocked, but he does lock it at night or when he's with someone else.

There is an open parlor area, with a couple couches and a low table. Off to one side of the room is a taller table with some booze bottles on it, all still mostly-full. On another wall is a door, which presumably goes to another part of his quarters, maybe his bedroom? And there is also a table and desk chair to one side, which appears to be a working space. All of the walls are lined with bookshelves, which are full of countless books.

Feel free to knock, or walk right in if the door is open.

I'm asking for an expensive payment. It only seems fair to offer a steep reward for it.

[After closing the door, Dazai will just stroll over and lean on the side of the couch George has flopped onto.]

The question is, if you can actually keep word about it.

More so than the 'killing somebody', it seems to me that the world travel technology is of interest here.

[ And the motive reaction might have gone a lot differently had a personal trip been offered. ]

Oh certainly, that is the most interesting part! It's quite complicated, and way above my pay grade to fully understand.

[ George rolls his eyes, hidden behind his sunglasses. ]

Is that so? Well, maybe some else here would understand its complications. I, for one, would be most interested.

[SHRUG]

You'll have to ask the ones in charge about it. I was just told to offer whatever I could to get someone to murder.

[Sorry, he's not answering beyond that.]

Well, you are a fellow C-class after all...

[ He sighs and relaxes a little with it. ]

It was worth the attempt to press you for information about it. If this assignment could at least yield worthwhile information...

Oh, there's still worthwhile information to be gotten from it! Like who among you will be pushed to kill, and how the others will react to it.

I was thinking of long time useful. Should we survive this, it'll have been quite a waste in the long run.

I don't habitually get into situations where people are pushed to murder, you know?

Really? Then you must not have been absorbing the lessons that the Foundation teaches.

[georgeous]

Not every lesson the Foundation teaches is applicable in every situation.

[ Which is to say, he thinks some of them are utter garbage, but... can't say that. ]

I prefer to focus on actual containment procedures rather than infighting.

Ahh, but sometimes the infighting is the containment procedure! Haven't you heard of that one summer camp in Michigan?

Not before I arrived here, no.

[ Too busy with recent cases, too busy proving his fragile loyalty. ]

I can't say I am surprised, but something like that or this situation is a novelty to me in my two years.

Indeed, sometimes containment calls for human sacrifices. You might be better off thinking of this situation as like that: some people need to die so that everyone else stays safe.

[georgeous]

And my job is usually to keep that number as low as possible.

I'll stick to that, even if your orders are opposite.

[That gets a genuinely happy smile in return.]

Then we will have to see who can carry out their orders better.

[georgeous]

It is a game show after all. I'm just getting a feeling that our color-coded little teams aren't the only players.

[ Dazai... or more importantly the people ordering him... those are really the ones they'll win or lose against, depending on expectations.

George smiles again himself, though far more enigmatically, and gets up. ]
